Disney Cruise Line is preparing to welcome another incredible ship to its growing fleet—and we finally have our first look!
The Disney Believe is scheduled to begin sailing in late 2027. It will join the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny as the fourth ship in Disney Cruise Line’s Wish class.
While Disney has only revealed the first few details, the ship is already shaping up to have its own distinctive personality. The Disney Believe will celebrate belief in magic, family, nature and ourselves, with stories centered on possibility, optimism and looking toward the future. Here is everything we know so far from Disney’s official Disney Believe Ship’s Log.

A Moana-Inspired Grand Hall
The Grand Hall serves as the heart of Disney’s Wish-class ships, and each vessel uses this gathering space to introduce its central storytelling theme.
On the Disney Believe, guests will step into a Grand Hall inspired by the adventurous spirit and beautiful island settings of the Moana films. A bronze statue of Moana will be the centerpiece of the space, with Pua and Heihei joining her as she looks toward the horizon. The design will also feature artistic Polynesian influences and finishes intended to honor the cultural traditions of the region.
Much like the Grand Halls aboard the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, this space will likely become an important location for entertainment, character appearances, celebrations and those unforgettable first moments onboard.

Woody and Buzz Are Heading to the Stern
Every Disney Cruise Line ship features special character sculptures on its stern, and the Disney Believe will continue that tradition with a playful design inspired by Toy Story.
Woody and Buzz Lightyear will appear on the back of the ship, working together to write the Disney Believe’s name using oversized yellow crayons. The ship’s name will even receive a unique treatment. Instead of the flowing script traditionally used across the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the stern will feature colorful block-style lettering inspired by the familiar look of the Toy Story films.
It is a fun and lighthearted detail that should make the Disney Believe instantly recognizable from the moment it arrives in port.

Tinker Bell Brings Pixie Dust to the Bow
The bow of the Disney Believe will feature Tinker Bell as she appeared in Disney’s animated 1953 film Peter Pan. She will be incorporated into the ship’s elegant golden filigree, accompanied by silhouettes of Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook and other characters soaring through the design.
Tinker Bell has a long history with Disney Cruise Line, making her appearance on the bow a fitting connection between the fleet’s classic traditions and this ship’s theme of believing in something extraordinary.
More Disney Stories Are Coming Aboard
Disney has also shared that the ship’s new venues and entertainment experiences will draw inspiration from several beloved stories, including:
Encanto
Frozen
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Moana
The Little Mermaid
Disney has not yet explained how each story will appear onboard. They could inspire restaurants, lounges, stage productions, family spaces or other immersive experiences.
Disney Cruise Line has promised additional behind-the-scenes updates as its Imagineers, artists and entertainment teams bring the ship to life at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. Future updates are expected to offer closer looks at the ship’s design process, original entertainment and new venue concepts.
When Will the Disney Believe Begin Sailing?
The Disney Believe is currently expected to set sail in late 2027.
As of August 2026, Disney has not announced the ship’s:
Maiden voyage date
Home port
Sailing itineraries
Reservation opening date
Pricing
Rotational dining restaurants
Adult-exclusive venues
Kids’ clubs
Broadway-style productions
Those details will be released closer to the ship’s debut. Travelers can also register for updates through the official Disney Believe page.
Should You Wait for the Disney Believe?
For travelers who love experiencing something brand-new, the Disney Believe could be worth the wait. Inaugural sailings offer the excitement of exploring a new ship, discovering original entertainment and being among the first guests to experience its restaurants and onboard spaces.
However, new Disney Cruise Line ships—and especially their earliest sailings—can be extremely popular. Stateroom selection may become limited quickly once reservations open, particularly for concierge accommodations, larger family staterooms and certain verandah categories.
If the Disney Believe is on your travel wish list, it is a good idea to begin considering your preferred travel dates, stateroom category and vacation budget before bookings are released.
